Kylie Riddle (President, Senior, 3rd Year Member) Kylie has been dancing since she was 2 years old and has loved dance from the minute she stepped foot in the studio. She started her training at Extravadance and went on to dance at eMotion Dance as well as Millennium Dance Complex. Kylie has trained in many styles including contemporary, jazz, tap, ballroom, hip-hop, modern, ballet/pointe and lyrical. She is so grateful to have been on dance company throughout all her years of high school, and feels so blessed to have received the position this year as president for this amazing team. She loves all the girls on her team so much, and is extremely grateful for the bonds and friendships she has made with them for life. Outside of dance Kylie loves to hang with friends, be outdoors and experiment with videography. She would like to thank all of her amazing dance teachers for all they've taught her and for helping her gain a love and passion for dance.
Abigail Bassaragh (Vice President, Senior, 3rd Year Member) Abby was overwhelmed with joy when she found out she would be serving as this year's Dance Company Vice President. She really loves Dance Co. with all of her heart. This team has molded her into the person she is today. She is forever grateful for her time spent with this team. The lessons, connections, friendships, and adventures will never be forgotten. Abby has always been dancing her way through life. Her first real training as a dancer happened at the American International School of Utah. There she was a part of the Dance Company and Ballroom Team for three years. She then later pursued training in Latin Dance at Ballroom Utah with Nick Bloxum Carter. After leaving AISU, she was ready for a completely new adventure! She joined both Bingham Ballroom Team and Bingham Dance Company her sophomore year. She later served as Technique Officer for Ballroom her Junior Year, and now Vice Pres of DCO! She wouldn’t have done it without the support of her amazing family, and of course her coaches. She would like to say thank you to Gina for helping her grow, and always believing in her. Lastly she would like to say thank you to her amazing team. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to call my family, I am forever grateful for every single one of you.
Maegan Dehaan (Officer, Senior, 3rd Year Member) Maegan was so excited that she has the opportunity to be an officer this year and to help lead the team. She has loved every year that she has been on Dance Company and she can't wait to see what this next year has to offer. Dance Company has made a major impact on Maegan and she has met all of her best friends from this team. Maegan started dancing when she was 9. She started dancing at Extravadance, and was trained in Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Acro and Tumbling. She later moved to Hip Dance Company and competed with that studio. Maegan is so grateful for all the opportunities that she has been given. She would like to thank her parents and for all the support they have given, along with her friends and her siblings. She also wants to thank Gina and Dani for everything that they have done for her and for the opportunity to be on this team. Lastly, she wants to thank her teammates for always believing in her and cheering her on and always being there for her. She is so thankful for everyone who has ever supported her and encouraged her.
Delaney Hilton (Officer, Senior, 3rd Year Member) Delaney has had the amazing opportunity to be an officer for Dance Company this year. She has loved her time on Dance Company and is so grateful she has been on this team all three years of high school. Delaney has been dancing since the age of 8. She danced at American Expression of Dance and trained in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Pointe, and Musical Theatre. She was so excited to continue her dance career as a part of Bingham High Dance Company. Delaney would like to thank her family, friends, coaches, and other supporters for always being there for her and cheering her on. Dance Company will always hold a special place in her heart and Delaney is so happy to have made so many friends and memories while being on this team.
Krista Bringhurst (Senior, 3rd Year Member) Krista feels so blessed to have Dance Co in her life. The team always makes her feel loved and she loves the bond they have created. This year's concert is exciting because she had the opportunity to choreograph a dance with her best friend. Krista started dancing when she was 3 years old at C&C Ballet Academy, but received most of her training and her love of dance at Utah Dance Artists. There she was on the Varsity competitive program and grew in many styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Krista loves to be outside, travel, and hang out with her friends and family. She’s sad to leave high school and her dance family behind, but she’s excited for what life will bring in the future. She’d like to thank her siblings for being some of her best friends, and especially her parents for continuing to inspire her to succeed in everything she strives to accomplish, and supporting her 24/7. Krista is so grateful for Gina and Dani and that they work so hard to make dance co possible, while making all of us feel so loved and important at the same time. This team is such a big part of Krista’s heart and she’s so excited for this last year!
Calista Cannon (Senior, 1st Year Member) Cali received dance training from Local Motion, C&C Ballet, Barlow Arts Conservatory, and Utah Dance Artists. She trained and competed with Utah Dance Artists (UDA) for 7 years. She recently started taking classes at Barlow Arts Conservatory, tried out for Bingham Dance Company, and made the 2020-2021 team! She is excited to work with her new team, officers, and coaches! Some of Cali’s favorite dance experiences include attending dance conventions, battling in The Peanut Butter Jamm (hip hop), receiving ballet training from Emily Lui at UDA, attending National Dance Honors, dancing at Elevate Dance Intensive, and performing at a Jazz game half time with her team. Dance has taught Cali the value of hard work, self care, team work, and so much more. Cali is grateful for the incredible training she has received. She thanks her mom, dad, directors, and teachers for making it possible. After high school, Cali plans to audition for a college dance team, serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and study civil engineering. Cali loves dancing, spending time with her friends and family, journaling, being in nature, playing the piano, and playing tennis!
Carlie Gillis (Senior, 3rd year member) Carlie is so excited for the opportunity to be a member of the Bingham High Dance Company. She has worked very hard to lead up to this point and would like to thank her parents Heather and Lance and her younger brother Cayden for all of their love and support. Ever since the age of 3 all she has known is dance which has led her to this amazing opportunity. She has trained throughout the years in all genres of dance including Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop. Carlie is always smiling and thankful for the amazing friends and memories she has been blessed with in her life because of dance. Her passion and drive to dance began at C&C Ballet then led up to Elite Academy for 7 years and then Maximum Dance for the past 2 years. Without all of the many wonderful dance teachers she has had over the years she would not be where she is today. Carlie loves Bingham Dance Co. and the girls and coaches that surround it and the support they give her in doing what she loves everyday at Bingham High.
Makenna Holmgren (Senior, 3rd Year Member) This is Makenna’s third year on Dance Co and being on the team has been the biggest blessing for her the past two years. She had lost a lot of graduated friends going into her senior year but the team (as always) instantly made her feel loved and at home. Dance Co has been Makenna’s favorite thing in high school, all the performances, practices, team bonding, and CONCERT! It was sad to see junior year go by without a concert but this year’s concert is going to be absolutely amazing!! Makenna is lucky enough to actually choreograph a piece in concert this year with her best friend Krista Bringhurst, its so exciting because it’s her first year to have her dance chosen for concert. Before Dance Co, Makenna had been training at HIP Dance Company since she was 6. At this studio she learned all types of dance which prepared her for Dance Co at Bingham. Makenna would like to thank her parents and supportive friends/siblings that have helped her through the past two years. She would also like to thank Gina Terrell (head coach) for allowing her to be on the team all three years and never giving up on her. Makenna can’t wait to finish out the year strong doing the things she loves!!
Paige Huntsman (Senior, 3rd Year Member) This is Paige's third year on the team. Trying out for dance company was one of the best decisions Paige has ever made. After meeting her team for the first time sophomore year she knew that she’d make some of the best friendships through this program. And throughout her junior year her friendships and love just continued to grow for dance co. Dance company has given her so many opportunities and memories that she will never forget. It’s been a fun way for her to be involved with her high school experience while staying active at the same time. Paige’s senior year has been just as promising as her other years on this incredible team. And she’s excited to spend her last year of high school doing what she loves with a team she loves.
Payton King (Senior, 3rd Year Member)
Quincey Neilson (Senior, 3rd Year Member) Dance has been a big part of Quincey’s life. She started gymnastics at an early age then transitioned to competitive dance at age eight and has been dancing ever since.She has been trained in all styles of dance including ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap but, especially loves lyrical and contemporary. The majority of her training has been done at Emotion Dance Studio.She is so grateful for the opportunity to be on the Bingham High Dance Company.She has enjoyed being involved in such a fun group of girls and feels that BHDC is an extension of her family. Dance company has given her so many opportunities and she is grateful for every single one.
Maleia Peoples (Senior, 3rd Year Member) Maleia is grateful to be on dance company for another year its a bittersweet time for this will be her last year. She has always loved the art of dance, and has been dancing since she was three years old. Her passion of dance has grown and she strives to perform with emotion and her sassy attitude. She did most of her training at Local Motion Dance Studio where she trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballroom, Pointe, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. Maleia loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves to sing, dance, and perform in front of whoever will watch. She loves to travel, attend musicals, concerts, and experience new adventures. Dance is her world and she wouldn’t be where she is now without the help of the teammates, coaches, instructors, and her parents. Maleia will continue to achieve her goals through hard work and dedication. Her favorite quote is “Dance like nobody's watching”. Thank you for everything Bingham high school and most importantly thank you for watching this chapter in my life come to an end.
Hannah Schipaanboord (Senior, 2nd Year Member)
Maya Seare (Senior, 3rd Year Member) Dance is a huge part of Maya’s life. Self-expression has allowed Maya to utilize dance as not just a physical, but also an emotional and aesthetic outlet for good. Most of Maya’s training has come from Empower Dance Academy, where she has spent years practicing and competing in a wide array of genres, including Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Ballet, Pointe and Improv. Making Bingham Dance Company has been Maya's greatest blessing and accomplishment in life. She will forever be grateful for the chance she has been given to be involved in a team with such amazing coaches, teammates and experiences.
Alexis Whalberg (Senior, 3rd Year Member) This is Lexi´s third year on Dance Company and she could not be happier to be on this team her whole time in high school. Dance Company has provided her with a safe space to learn more about something that has been such a large part of her life. Lexi has been dancing since she was 3 years old and has never loved it more than when she joined Dance Company because she felt more than just dance, she felt friendships and love. Before Dance Company, Lexi was dancing at Empower Dance learning the technique and styles of dance that she would need for her high school dance team. When she got into high school she learned the passion and meaning side of dance which completed the circle. Lexi´s favorite part of Dance Company is the many ways it bonds you to people and creates so many friendships. Lexi is extremely grateful for this team and would like to thank her parents and siblings for their support and encouragement throughout the years. She would also like to thank Gina and Dani for giving her the opportunity to learn and grow on their team. And lastly she would like to say thank you to all the members of the team that helped her learn about more than just dance.
Haven Benson (Junior, 1st Year Member) Haven is so excited to be a member of Bingham High Dance Company this year. She started dancing at Utah Dance Artists when she was 3 years old and later joined their Conservatory Company teams when she was 7. There she trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Pointe, Tap, Contemporary, and Lyrical. When she was 11, she auditioned for “The Nutcracker” and received the role of Clara. Then at 13 she decided she wanted to focus more on Ballet and began training at Barlow Arts Conservatory. Since then she has loved going to the YAGP ballet competition and has been invited to the Bolshoi Ballet and Houston Ballet summer intensives. This year she realized that she missed being on a team and decided to audition for Dance Company. Haven is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team and would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her. She would also like to thank all of her teachers who have helped her become the dancer she is today.
Janessa Blackham (Junior, 2nd year member). This is Janessa’s second year on Dance Company and she is so excited to be back with her teammates. She has been dancing since she was three years old, and has been trained in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, and modern dance. Janessa has taken classes by prominent members of the Utah dance community such as Eldon Johnson, Chase Wise, Jeffrey Louiza, Jason Celaya, Tia Aiono, Caine Keenan, and Marc Cameron “Big Chocolate”, among others. She has performed in the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s Christmas concert as a dancer in 2014, 2017, and 2018. She is excited to continue her dance training with Gina and Dani and to make more memories with her amazing team!
Kylie Brown (Junior, 2nd year member) Kylie is so excited to be on Dance Company for a second year. Kylie started training when she was 12 years old, and has loved every minute of it since then! She started her training at Synergy Dance Academy, and has trained in all genres. Her very favorite styles of dance are hip hop and contemporary, but she loves all of them! While on Dance Co. she’s continued to take classes at Emotion Dance. She loves being able to learn from so many amazing choreographers, and be able to grow as a dancer. Outside of Dance Co. Kylie enjoys being outdoors, hanging out with friends, and choreographing. She’s so grateful that she found dance as something that can help express herself with . Kylie is so thankful for all that dance has taught her. She says it’s shaped her into the person who she is today. Kylie loves Dance Company with all her heart, and she’s so grateful for the friends and memories she has made because of it. She would also like to thank her family, friends, and coaches who have supported her these past few years.
Bella Degn (Junior, 1st year member). Bella is so happy to be on Bingham Dance Company! She has been dancing at Rocky Mountain Dance since she was 5 and has been a part of many intensives including the Russian Ballet Intensive under Oleg Vinogradov and Sasha Lunev. She’s been a zombie in “Thriller” for Odyssey Dance and participated in many conventions. Bella loves to dance, hangout with friends, and rock climb. She’s always down to do something fun and loves new opportunities that push her to the next level. Bella would like to thank her parents for supporting her in countless dance competitions, auditions, and master classes across the country. She is so grateful for coaches, choreographers, and her private coach, Jessica Jackson, who shaped her into the dancer she is today.
Alyssa Lange (Junior, 1st year member). Alyssa is very happy to be on Bingham High Dance Company this year, and to be able to share her love for dance with her team! Alyssa has been dancing since she was 7 years old. She started dancing with Wasatch Arts Center where she took jazz and ballet classes. After 3 years at Wasatch Arts Center she went to Utah Dance Artists where she took more extensive classes in contemporary, modern, jazz, and ballet. She was in UDA’s Elite Performance Group where she was able to participate in many performances, conventions and workshops. Alyssa enjoys outside activities like hiking and boating. She likes to play the ukulele and is always listening to music. Alyssa would like to thank her family for always supporting her in everything she does. She would like to thank her previous teachers, Anne-Marie Browning and London Brooksby for increasing her love of dance and for helping her broaden her abilities and for always pushing her to get out of her comfort zone and express herself more freely. Alyssa is very excited to make many amazing memories this year with her new team!
Brian Khong (Junior, 2nd Year Member) has absolutely loved every second of being on Dance Company. It has been an absolute dream come true for him. He is so blessed to have been one of the first boys to be on Dance Company and to be on the team again this year! Brian was trained by Dani Ward where she shaped him into the dancer he is today. He has also gained his dance experience from Empower Dance, Emotion Dance, BYU Dance, and Millenium Dance Complex. Brian's love for dance formed when he did cheerleading. He realized how much he loved performing and learning new skills. Brian's passion for dance has expanded because of the ability to express his feelings through movement. He also loves dance because he isn't limited to one style. Brian would like to thank Gina Terrell for all the opportunities she has given Brian this year along with growing as not only a dancer but as a person. Brian would like to thank his parents for constantly supporting, loving, and chauffeuring him to the places he needs to be. He would finally like to thank his close friends Reegan, Trent, and Kylie for always helping him find confidence and strength when he doubts himself. Dance is everything to Brian and he wouldn't know where he would be without it.
Erin Kirkham (Junior, 2nd Year Member) Erin is so excited to be on dance company again this year! Erin started dancing when she was 3 years old at Rocky Mountain Dance. She has been trained in many styles of dance. Her favorites are ballet and contemporary, but she enjoys any style. Outside of Dance Company Erin enjoys any outdoor activity, hanging out with friends and reading. Erin is so thankful for the opportunity to be on a team at school that is so awesome and fun! She loves dance so much and is so grateful for the lessons it’s taught her. She would like to thank her coaches, friends and especially her parents for the support they’ve shown her.
Gabbie Smith (Junior, 1st year member). This is her first year on Dance Company and she is so excited to learn and experience so many new things! Gabbie started dancing when she was seven at Gravity Dance Center and stayed there for eight years then switched to Empower Dance Academy last year. She has trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, and tap. She earned a tap scholarship from Radix Dance Convention this year and was a zombie for Odyssey Dance Theatre’s “Thriller” in 2018. She loves baking and playing the ukulele. She is very grateful to her mom for putting her in dance and her dance teachers who taught her throughout the years. She is looking forward to an amazing year on Dance Company!
Paige Draper (Sophomore, 1st Year Member) Paige has always wanted to be a professional dancer, ever since the day she started to dance. She has received scholarships from local and out of state conventions and competitions. Her teachers and mentors have shaped the kind of dancer and person she is today and she is very grateful for the opportunity she has to work with them. She has grown up dancing since the age of three. She attended Extravadance Studio, The Dance Project SLC and trained in all genres of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Ballet, Ballroom, Tap, and Contemporary. Paige also is a part of a local hip hop crew “The Chocolate Factory”. She loves every moment of it and dancing with her friends and teammates. Besides dance Paige enjoys quality time with friends and family, traveling, piano, and watching Netflix. Paige is so excited to be a part of Bingham dance co and so happy to dance with the sweetest girls.
Kylie Jones (Sophomore, 1st year member) Kylie is so excited to be a part of Bingham Dance Company! She began dancing at Elite Academy when she was 3 years old, and finished her training at Synergy Academy. Over the years she has trained in Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, and Tap. Kylie is very grateful to be a member of this amazing team. She would like to thank her parents and brothers for all of their support and to her many teachers who have helped her become the dancer she is today. Although she was sad to leave her studio, she is very excited to be on Dance Company and make new memories!
Olivia Knadler (Sophomore, 1st year member) Olivia was thrilled to find out she had made BHDC and is so excited to be on the team this year. She has been dancing at Rocky Mountain Dance since she was three years old. She has trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. Olivia enjoys singing, cooking, reading and being with friends. She would like to thank her many dance teachers who helped her become the dancer she is today and for pushing her out of her comfort zone. Olivia would also like to thank her parents and family for supporting her throughout her dancing career and cheering her on at competitions and in life. They are her biggest fans!
Kristi Palmer (Sophomore, 1st year member) Kristi is so excited to be able to be a part of the Bingham High Dance Company. She has been dancing at Local Motion since she was 5 years old. She has been trained in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, and Poinet. She is going to miss her dance studio dearly but she is ready to move on and be a part of this amazing team. She is very grateful for everything her teachers were able to teach her and is ready to start her new journey at Bingham. Kristi is grateful for the opportunity to be able to be picked to be a part of this team and can’t wait for bigger things to come. She is so grateful to be able to start new friendships and to be able to call this team her family.
Taylor Willden (Sophomore, 1st year member) Taylor is so excited to be a part of the Bingham High School Dance Company team this year. She has been dancing since she was 5 years old and has trained in all genres of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pointe, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary. She recently left her studio at The Pointe Academy where she competed in many competitions over the years and has had the amazing opportunity to train and take from some of the best choreographers in the business. She is super sad to leave her dance “family” there, but is most excited about making new friendships and being involved in High School.
